Male shot in face in robbery at Akron home, police say

AKRON, Ohio — Police are searching for two suspects who broke into a home near the North Hill neighborhood during a robbery and shot a male in the face.

The victim’s wound was not life-threatening, but he was taken to Akron City Hospital for treatment.

Police say the victim and his girlfriend were visiting a home on the 1200 block of Lexington Avenue on Friday night when the two male suspects entered. The suspects robbed the male victim and fired one shot, striking the male in the face.

Marijuana and THC were recovered at the scene, police say.

The first suspect is 20 to 30 years old, estimated at 5-foot-9 and 240 pounds, and was wearing all black clothing. The second suspect also is 20 to 30 years old, about 6-foot-1 with a muscular build, with dark hair and blonde tips. He was wearing jeans.
