ALERT ISSUED WARNING MOTORISTS ABOUT DANGEROUS DENSE FOG IN MUCH OF EAST IDAHO
The National Weather Service has issued a special weather alert warning motorists about dangerous dense fog in East Idaho on Friday morning.
The weather service reported early Friday morning that “pockets of dense fog have developed” along parts of the Highway 20, Interstate 15, Interstate 86 and Interstate 84 corridors in East Idaho. The fog is drastically reducing visibility and making for very icy road conditions in much of East Idaho including the Idaho Falls, Ammon, Rexburg, St. Anthony, Rigby, Pocatello, Chubbuck, Blackfoot, American Falls, Shelley, Firth, Fort Hall, Raft River, Burley, Rupert, Heyburn, Paul, Declo, Oakley, Malta, Rockland and Holbrook areas.
“Drivers are urged to be extra cautious” if traveling through any of these areas on Friday morning, the weather service said.
