Orchids and Onions: Wednesday, November 28, 2018

November 29, 2018

Another beautiful day in Havasu...

Orchids to Jack Garnett and Buddy whose visits have brought smiles and cheer to countless numbers of nursing home residents, hospital patients and home shut-ins. You are both wonderful, miracle ambassadors of caring and your visits are so appreciated. Nancie

Onions to the cheese head from Wisconsin that can’t walk to the back of the store to get the cheese and the milk. Go back to Wisconsin and freeze or use Clicklist and have your groceries delivered to your car! Get a brain! They also have free powered carts dumb-dumb.

Orchids to all of the retail cashiers in Lake Havasu City during the Holiday Season! Thank you for your patience and kindness during the holiday shopping crunch. We appreciate you!

Onions to the onion giver to women with short hair. Your opinions, like the T.V. shows you watch, are outdated and laughably ridiculous. Women now have the right to vote, work, speak, and look the way they want.

Orchids to Chef John and staff at the Turtle Grill. The Thanksgiving Day buffet was delicious. We had such a great time. From the moment we walked in the door everyone was so nice. We aren’t always an easy bunch to please. Great Job!

Orchids to the team at the Black Bear Diner for their efforts on Thanksgiving Day to serve hundreds great food efficiently while smiling through it all. Thank you!

Orchids to the volunteers at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church who prepared and served the wonderful Thanksgiving meal. As a winter visitor you have always made us feel a part of congregation. The dinner was delicious and the servers were so gracious. We were sent home with an extra dessert.

Orchids also to members of other groups who made and delivered meals to all who might have been alone or who might have needed a little extra love this Thanksgiving: signed: A winter resident and “Green Bay Packers” fan.

Orchids to “Only Orchids,’ “Cha-Bones” and volunteers for giving meals to the community on Thanksgiving Day morning at ‘Cha-Bones’ and delivering to homes. What a wonderful way of giving and thank you all!

Onions to cold temperatures and climate change! We moved to Havasu because we like the heat. These recent cold spells in the 70s and low 80s are making us miserable!

Orchids to John for planning and coordinating our Thanksgiving and to Shugrue’s for hosting. Wonderful!
