LANSING, Mich. (AP) — A sentencing hearing for a former sports doctor who sexually assaulted dozens of young gymnasts may be nearing the end. Larry Nassar is due back in a Lansing, Michigan, courtroom today. More than accusers, including former Olympic gold medalists, have confronted Nassar or had statements read on their behalf over five emotional days of sentencing. At least 35 more victims want to speak.

MILWAUKEE (AP) — Jason Kidd helped make the Bucks relevant. Someone else will have to make them champions. MOSCOW (AP) — The Russian Olympic Committee says speedskater Viktor Ahn is among several top athletes barred from the upcoming Pyeongchang Games amid the country’s ongoing doping scandal. The ROC says Ahn, cross-country skier Sergei Ustyugov and biathlete Anton Shipulin have been left out of an International Olympic Committee pool of eligible athletes.

SEOUL, South Korea (AP) — South Korean Olympic organizers say it’s too late to include a North Korean taekwondo performance in the opening ceremony of the Pyeongchang Winter Games, but it might still occur at the Olympic Stadium on Feb. 9. The creative director of the opening and closing ceremonies said Tuesday there are discussions on whether to include the North Korean taekwondo demonstration team in a program ahead of the opening ceremony. A Pyeongchang organizing committee official said nothing has been decided.
