Oral Roberts 78, Alcorn St. 50

TULSA, Okla. (AP) _ Tim Gill scored 24 points Wednesday night and Oral Roberts used a big second half to extend its homecourt winning streak to 19 with a sloppy 78-50 victory over Alcorn State.

The Golden Eagles (19-6) only led 35-31 at halftime, then held Alcorn State to 7-of-34 shooting in the second half. The Braves wound up 18 of 63 (28 percent).

Oral Roberts committed a season-high 26 turnovers, but that was eight fewer than Alcorn State (10-16).

Gill went 6-of-9 from 3-point range in helping the Golden Eagles bounce back from a loss to Illinois-Chicago on Monday that snapped their nine-game winning streak.

Clifford Crenshaw had 15 points, and Rocky Walls had 12 points and nine rebounds for Oral Roberts.

Chelonzo Miller, Karl Jones and Eddrick Wheaton scored 9 points each for Alcorn State.
