WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP) — Police in North Carolina say a college student was one of two people found shot to death inside a car.

The Winston-Salem Journal reports police say 19-year-old Jeremiah Christian Hardy-Praylor and 23-year-old Gregory Louis Mobley Jr. were found dead of multiple gunshot wounds inside an SUV Tuesday.

Hardy-Praylor was a rising sophomore at Winston-Salem State and was captain of his high school’s basketball team.

In January, 21-year-old Winston-Salem State student Najee Ali Baker of Brooklyn, New York, was fatally shot attending a party at Wake Forest University. Three people were arrested in connection with his death.

Detectives have not released a motive in Tuesday’s slayings, and haven’t commented on how the pair knew each other. Capt. Steve Tollie also said investigators think the victims knew the suspect who shot them.
