Vehicle accident on Route 219

State police are investigating a vehicle accident on Route 219 in Somerset Township that happened Friday. Police said Shannon Endvick, 30, Somerset, was traveling north when she lost control on the icy road while traveling around a slight curve. The vehicle left the road and hit a guard rail. The vehicle traveled north for about 100 feet after the impact. Police said Endvick was taken to Somerset Hospital for suspected minor injuries. Somerset fire and EMS crews responded.

Vehicle accident in Southampton Township

State police said that Amanda Williams, 22, Oldtown, Maryland, was traveling downhill on Grandview Drive Thursday in Southampton Township when she was unable to make a right curve. Her vehicle traveled off the southbound edge of the road. After leaving the road, the vehicle struck an embankment, overturned and rotated clockwise. While overturned, the vehicle traveled across the road and hit a mailbox and a wire fence. Berlin ambulance crews took Williams to a Maryland hospital for treatment.

Vehicle fire in Somerset Township

Randy Wilt, 19, Garrett, was not injured in a vehicle fire on South Center Avenue in Somerset Township on Feb. 27, according to state police. Police said that Wilt was traveling north when he saw smoke and flames rising from the front driver side of the vehicle. He pulled into a parking lot beside a building. Police said the vehicle became fully engulfed in flames, causing damage to the building. Wilt exited the vehicle uninjured.
