Two vehicle crash causes traffic delay south of Loganville

April 1, 2019

LOGANVILLE — Officials said a two vehicle car crash caused an over two hour traffic delay in both directions on Highway 23 south of Loganville March 31.

Sauk County Patrol Lt. James Hodges said officials received the report of the crash at an estimated time of 4 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 23 and County Highway W. He said the highway was shut down due to Med Flight responding to the crash. The highway remained closed in both directions as officials investigated the crash.

A dispatcher from the Sauk County Dispatch office said the highway opened back up at about 6:45 p.m.

During the delay, Hodges said traffic was rerouted at Highway GG, Highway W, Skyview Road and Highway 154 in Loganville. Hodges said the Sauk County Sherriff’s Department, Loganville Fire Department and First Responders, Reedsburg Ambulance and Med Flight responded to the scene.

Hodges said names of those involved in the crash can not be released at this time due to family notification. He said additional information is planned for release April 1.

The crash remains under investigation by the Sauk County Sherriff’s Department.
