Utah 72, Australia-Geelong All-Stars 68

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) _ Keith Van Horn made a rebound basket with 12 seconds left and then added two free throws with 0.4 seconds remaining as Utah won a 72-68 exhibition victory over the Australia-Geelong All-Stars Wednesday night.

The Utes, who reached the round of 16 in last season’s NCAA tournament, had a 68-61 lead after Van Horn’s baseline jumper with 2:36 to play.

Australia scored seven straight points, the comeback aided by two turnovers by Utah.

Australia’s Aaron Trahair hit a 3-pointer with 50 seconds remaining to tie the game at 68.

On Utah’s ensuing possession, Andre Miller missed a driving layup as the shot clock expired, but Van Horn grabbed the rebound and banked it in.

Van Horn paced Utah with 24 points and Michael Doleac had 13. Both had eight rebounds.

Matt Neilson scored 20 points for Australia and Cameron Dickenson had 12.
