First call: Ravens trade for RB; ex-Pirate Steve Pearce is Sports Illustrated cover boy
While the Steelers stayed quiet at the trade deadline, the Ravens made a move. They acquired Packers running back Ty Montgomery.
Montgomery fumbled on a kick return on Sunday against the Rams. An unidentified teammate questioned his intentions for bringing the ball out.
The former receiver denied that he intentionally disobeyed an order to down the ball in the end zone. He also refuted any reported frustration over his role in the offense led to that decision.
Montgomery turned the situation around and questioned his unidentified teammate.
A converted running back, Montgomery has 26 carries on the season and 15 catches for 275 yards.
It’s not clear what role he’ll have Sunday against the Steelers.
