Ronald Jahn, 62, Fayetteville, North Carolina

Retired 1st Sgt. Ronald William Jahn, 62, of Fayetteville, North Carolina, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2018.

Ronald was born July 18, 1956, and raised in Baraboo, until he joined the Army at the age of 17. He served with the United States Army for 22 years and then worked for Fayetteville Technical Community College for 20 years.

Ronald’s favorite hobbies were grilling and baking, watching NASCAR and his Green Bay Packers. He was proud to serve his country and his local community.

He was preceded in death by his father Raymond Jahn; and a brother David Jahn.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife Aleesa A. Jahn of the home; three children, Raymond (Kim) Jahn, Melissa (Steven) Harrelson and Robert (Tina) Marchese; his mother Marguerite Jahn; a brother Stewart Jahn; sisters, Susan (John) Lytle and Carol (John) Hagen; six grandchildren, Dakota Jahn-Niccom, Brayden Marchese, Sierra Jones, Tias Jones, Steven D. Harrelson and Lola Cooke-Harrelson; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, 2018, at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 30, 2018, in the chapel at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 7, 2019, at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery Spring Lake, North Carolina.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Ronald Jahn’s memory to the American Heart Association, your local cancer center or your local animal shelter.
