LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — The NCAA has suspended Louisville's men's basketball coach Rick Pitino for five Atlantic Coast Conference games following a sex scandal investigation. The governing body has also placed the basketball program on four years' probation, vacated wins in which ineligible players participated and handed down a 10-year show-cause order for former basketball operations director Andre McGee. It is unclear if the vacated wins will include the Cardinals' 2013 national championship.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Jerry West could be leaving his job as an adviser to the NBA champion Golden State Warriors to take a similar role with the Los Angeles Clippers. The 79-year-old Hall of Famer tells ESPN he's intrigued at the prospect of working for team owner Steve Ballmer, whom he calls "a winner." West has been with the Warriors since 2011. The team has won two NBA titles during his time in the Bay Area.

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — The Carolina Hurricanes and forward Teuvo Teravainen (TAY'-voh tehr-uh-VY'-nuhn) have agreed to terms for a two-year deal worth more than $5.7 million. Today's announcement comes exactly a year after the Hurricanes acquired the 22-year-old Teravainen in a trade with Chicago. He'll earn $2.86 million in the 2017-18 and 2018-19 seasons.

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Tiger Woods' arraignment on a DUI charge has been delayed until August. Court documents filed today show the presiding judge canceled the original July 5 hearing and reset it for Aug. 9. In the early morning hours of May 29, police in Jupiter, Florida, found Woods asleep at the wheel of his Mercedes-Benz. Breath tests showed no presence of alcohol, but Woods told officers he had a reaction to several prescription drugs, including Vicodin and Xanax.
