Emergency medical responder course to be held in Seymour

SEYMOUR — A course to be held early next year features more than 90 hours of training on how to be an emergency medical responder.

The course runs from Jan. 4, 2019, to Feb. 10, 2019, and costs $450. Classes are held from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Fridays and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays.

Participants will learn all the skills needed to provide emergency medical care at a first responder level.

The course follows guidelines set by the state of Connecticut and includes academic lectures, hands-on demonstrations, practical application settings, online training and reading assignments.
