Bruce Allen looks forward to meeting Kyler Murray

February 14, 2019

Redskins president Bruce Allen told TMZ Wednesday he was looking forward to meeting quarterback Kyler Murray later this month at the NFL scouting combine.

Allen was interviewed on Capitol Hill where a photographer asked him a number of related Redskins questions. He repeated many answers already known, ranging from his thoughts on Alex Smith’s recovery to saying the team was trying to bring back running back Adrian Peterson.

He was specificallyasked about Murray, who announced earlier this week that he was pursuing football instead of professional baseball.

“I’m looking forward to meeting him at the combine along with 31 other teams,” Allen said.

So, are the Redskins going to draft him? If not him, who?

“We’ll go with somebody, I promise you that,” Allen said.

Allen said the Redskins were going to draft “really good football players this year.”

Bold strategy.

Murray is projected to go in the first round. The Redskins have the 15th overall pick.
