LOS ANGELES (AP) _ Mercury General Corp. (MCY) on Monday reported second-quarter net income of $60.2 million.
The Los Angeles-based company said it had profit of $1.09 per share. Earnings, adjusted for investment gains, were 88 cents per share.
The auto insurance company posted revenue of $885.4 million in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $871.1 million.
Mercury General shares have declined 15 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has fallen 19 percent in the last 12 months.
