Rolling slowdowns scheduled for portion of I-69

November 28, 2018

Rolling slowdowns and temporary ramp closures are scheduled for a section of Interstate 69 in Allen County on Sunday, and drivers may want to take an alternate route, the Indiana Department of Transportation said today.

The slowdowns will be from 6 a.m. to noon between Exit 302, the U.S. 24 West/Jefferson Boulevard exit, to mile marker 313, just north of the Coldwater Road exit, the transportation department said in a statement.

Crews will be working over the highway, the statement said.

It said three ramps will also have temporary closures during the work:

U.S. 30/Goshen Road to I-69 southbound; Indiana 3/Lima Road to I-69 southbound; Indiana 14/Illinois Road to I-69 northbound.

Electronic message boards will notify drivers of the rolling slowdown, in which traffic speeds can be reduced to 10 mph or less, the transportation department said. It said there may be slowed or stopped traffic during the work.
