September 5, 2018

The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a motorcycle they said was going more than 120 mph in Salem Township Saturday.

A Sheriff’s Deputy conducting a stationary radar detail around 4:15 p.m. Saturday in the 6500 block of Salem Road Southwest observed a motorcycle traveling at speeds of 90 to 107 mph, according to Capt. Scott Behrns.

The motorcycle is described as white and black and the driver was wearing dark colored pants, a black backpack and a matte black helmet with a full face visor.

The deputy attempted to pull the motorcycle over but it took off, Behrns said.

It was last seen going west on Salem Road near 70th Avenue. Behrns said at that point, the deputy noted its speed as more than 120 mph.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
