Alistair Frame Resigns as British Steel Chairman
LONDON (AP) _ Sir Alistair Frame will resign as chairman of British Steel PLC at the end of April for health reasons, the company said Monday.
Frame, 64, who was appointed to the board of directors in 1991, had been advised by doctors to reduce his business commitments, the company said.
Brian Moffat will add the chairman’s role to his current position of chief executive, British Steel said.
British Steel also named Nicholas Goodison, a non-executive director and the chairman of TSB Group PLC, as the second deputy chairman of the group as of May 1.
