FWCS board names three principals
Trustees for Fort Wayne Community Schools today approved the following administrative appointments for the 2019-20 school year:
Jennifer Evans will become Bloomingdale Elementary’s principal. Allison Holland will be Adams Elementary’s next principal. And Alexandra Trevino has been named Maplewood Elementary’s new principal.
Evans began her career in education in 1999 as a substitute teacher for FWCS and worked her way up through various positions. In 2014, she was named principal of Maplewood Elementary. Evans received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Indiana University Fort Wayne.
Holland began her career in education in 2008 as a second-grade teacher at John Glenn Schools in North Liberty. Previous positions were in Plymouth Community Schools and Huntington County Community Schools. In 2017, she joined Fort Wayne Community Schools as assistant principal at Brentwood Elementary. Holland received her bachelor’s degree from Bethel College and her master’s from Indiana Wesleyan University.
Trevino began her education career with Indianapolis Public Schools as a special education teacher in 2007. She joined Fort Wayne Community Schools two years later and has worked in various schools. For the past two years, Trevino has been assistant principal at Weisser Park Elementary School. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Saint Francis and her master’s from IPFW.
Almost 30,000 students attend Fort Wayne Community Schools, one of the largest school districts in Indiana.
