MARTIN, Tenn. (AP) _ Chamique Holdsclaw scored 16 points Sunday to lead No. 1 Tennessee to a 73-32 victory over Tennessee-Martin, the alma mater of Lady Vols coach Pat Summitt.

Tennessee-Martin’s only lead came two minutes into the first half when Cari Smithson hit a 3-pointer to give the Skyhawks a 5-4 lead.

The teams then traded baskets until Tennessee’s Semeka Randall hit a jumper to start the Lady Vols on a 12-0 run to take a 23-9 lead.

Tennessee, which led 31-16 at the half, went on an 11-2 run to open the second half to take control of the game.

The Lady Vols held their biggest lead with 26 seconds remaining when LaShonda Stephens hit a layup to make the score 73-30.

Tamika Catchings finished with 15 points and 12 rebounds for Tennessee. Kyra Elzy added 13.

Nichole Lockridge led Tennessee-Martin with eight points.
