Mary Free Bed was looking for a solution to virtually connect clinicians to patients and each other to streamline workflow and staff communications. Now, using Synzi’s HIPAA-compliant virtual care platform, Mary Free Bed clinicians can remotely connect with patients for referral review and admissions into the Mary Free Bed system. Clinicians also have the ability to create patient programs and message templates for communication via email, SMS/text, and virtual visits to improve care coordination and patient satisfaction.

“We’re excited about how this platform will create more efficient clinical communication across our rehabilitation system,” said Kent Riddle, CEO of Mary Free Bed. “Enabling our staff to easily communicate with patients on their devices they use every day is another huge benefit.”

Using Synzi’s platform, Mary Free Bed will also connect patients at its facilities with specialists at hospitals throughout the Midwest. This enhanced connectivity will facilitate timelier, more convenient care by eliminating transportation costs and burdens, while providing access to the clinician best suited to address a patient’s individual needs, regardless of either party’s location.

“As consumerism in healthcare grows, hospitals must meet patients’ demands for the convenience and flexibility they’re accustomed to in other industries,” said Lee Horner, CEO of Synzi. “We are thrilled to be working with Mary Free Bed to improve patient satisfaction and engagement by increasing digital touchpoints across the continuum of care.”
