Chelmsford in New England Title Game

CHELMSFORD -- Chelmsford is one victory from capturing the Cal Ripken 9-under New England Regional title.

On Friday, Chelmsford nipped Windham, N.H., 7-6, when Arnav Gandhe lined a single down the left field line to plate the winning run in the bottom of the sixth.

Gandhe finished 3-for-3 and also pitched 3 strong innings. The winning pitcher was Drew Gabriel, who worked the sixth. Sean Whalen tossed 2 innings as well.

In addition to Gandhe, Charlie Kelley was an offensive standout. He went 2-for-3 with an RBI.

Chelmsford (4-0) can win the New England title by defeating New Canaan, Conn. The title game will be held at Scully Field at 11 a.m.
