Board names Weber State’s presidential search committee
OGDEN, Utah (AP) — The Utah Board of Regents says it has named a search committee in charge of recruiting Weber State University’s next president.
The Standard-Examiner reports the 21-member committee will hold public meetings to gather input from members of the community on who should replace President Charles Wight, who announced his resignation Jan. 18.
Wright is being considered in other university presidential searches.
Wight was announced last month as one of five finalists in the race to become president of Idaho State University. The university has not reached a decision.
Board of Regent Jesselie Anderson and Weber State Board of Trustees Chair Nolan Karras will co-chair Weber State’s presidential search committee.
