Kavanaugh nomination: FBI probe underway, another Yale classmate speaks out

Charles Ludington, a Yale classmate of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, claims Kavanaugh was was a “belligerent and aggressive” drunk” during college.

The Supreme Court will open its new term Monday one justice short, as Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation has been delayed while the FBI conducts an investigation into sexual assault allegations from his past.

Several news outlets, including the New York Times, the Washington Post and NBC News, have reported that White House has placed limits on the FBI’s ability to investigate claims against Kavanaugh made by three woman — Christine Blasey Ford, Deborah Ramirez and Julie Swetnick. Democratic Sen. Mazie Hirono of Hawaii denounced the limits as a “farce,” while President Trump denied that any restrictions had been placed on the FBI’s scope.
