Jamie Adams, the 42-year-old Glide man accused of raping a teenage girl, assaulted the girl at least 30 times, according to recently released court documents.

According to the probable cause affidavit, Adams began sexually assaulting the girl after Adams moved to the area from California in June 2017. According to court documents, the attacks occurred “a lot” over the last year and was happening “almost every day” for a period of time.

Adams’ actions were reported to police by the teen’s mother last Friday. On early Saturday morning, a deputy with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office met with Adams and arrested him.

When one of the arresting deputies passed Adams in the jail and thanked him for his cooperation, Adams responded.

“Yeah, well, I got myself in here, didn’t I?” he said, according to court documents.

Adams was employed as a groundskeeper for Glide School District and is currently on administrative leave pending the outcome of the criminal investigation, according to Superintendent Mike Narkiewicz.

The school district is cooperating with law enforcement but cannot comment, Narkiewicz said.
