TC Line: Plenty of Gratitude
Editor’s note: Starting today and continuing through Christmas Day, the Times-Call will publish only positive TC Line comments. Thanks to readers for today’s calls.
Fantastic! At my suggestion, I was hoping we’d have only positive comments through Christmas. That’s great. It was beautiful today. The sun was out. I watched the sun come up over the deck, and it was nice and warm by the time we had the multiple cappuccinos, and then 1 or 2 in the afternoon was cocktail hour. And Longmont and Colorado is just a great place to be.
• Good morning. This is about 6:30 Thursday morning. I just got my paper and I was looking at it. I think it’s great that you guys published this article about the veteran getting a new car on the front page. ... We need more local stories like that, instead of so many stories from other newspapers. We’ve subscribed to the newspaper for 40 years almost, and I really appreciate that story. It’s very uplifting.
• I just wanted to say thank you to Caliber Collision. Beautiful article that they help provide a car for the Navy Vet. I didn’t know we had such great companies here in the Longmont area. Very nice. Thank you.
Goats and elk
It’s very interesting to read about the domestic goat joining the elk heard west of Loveland. The elk over here on Oxford Road east of 287, on the south side, is back again. ... She left for the mating season and then came back after that. And she’s protecting two bulls and two pigs. That’s very interesting about the one in Loveland. ... Longmont has one too.
Thanks for help
I suffered a fall at the north Wendy’s on Dec. 10. This is a big thank you to the three teens who are first on the scene and went right to work. I don’t know what your names are or what school you attend but want you to know how grateful I am for your help and care. Merry Christmas.
Concern for children
I was glad to see in (Thursday) morning’s Times-Call that the Boulder County commissioners are concerned about children and children’s welfare. One of the things that is not good for children is to end up at school not as prepared as they could be. That’s why programs that do early childhood education as early as possible are good. Programs such as PASO and the Colorado Statewide Parent Coalition and many others need ... support.
