FOXBORO, Mass. (AP) _ Alberto Naveda scored one goal and set up another to lift the New England Revolution to a 2-0 victory over the New York-New Jersey MetroStars Sunday in Major League Soccer.

The Revolution (3-3) ended a three-game winning streak for the MetroStars (3-4).

Naveda’s header from the right side of the box in the ninth minute deflected past goalkeeper Tony Meola off a MetroStars defender about six yards from the net.

The Revolution’s second goal also started with Naveda, who sent a long pass down the left wing to Welton. Paul Keegan converted Welton’s cross for his first goal of the season.
