Orchids and Onions: Wednesday, September 26, 2018

September 27, 2018

Another beautiful day in Havasu...

Orchids to Abby at Walgreens pharmacy. She was so patient and thorough while I was so sick. Thank you for your kindness.

Orchids to thinking the “carbon” in “carbonated” is related to the chemical element carbon (C). The carbon in this case is referring to the gas carbon dioxide (CO2). Science is real, science is good, but I enjoyed the laugh.

Orchids to Wil of SuddenLink for working on my 29 year-old wiring system that took my phone and internet system out. Worked in attic, laundry room, outside and found the problem. Good work in two and one-half hours. Thanks.

Onions to not approving marijuana. You don’t have to use it, but we are missing out on millions of dollars to use for schools, etc. Dave

Orchids to the entire crew of McDonalds #1. It was the day from heck and everyone worked together to get through it. I’m proud to work with you guys!

Orchids to PB and J Water for 100% dedication to its customers. And a special thank you to Justin Marshall for not giving up on us.

Orchids to Rikki, relationship manager of Bank of America. She handled my wire transfer efficiently, and in a pleasant manner and was mostly concerned that I was satisfied. D.W.

Orchids to all of you that passed by Taquito’s kennel because he is 10 years old. Because you passed him up, he is now mine. He is sweet, cuddly and perfectly house trained. His new sisters love him, too!

Orchids to the bystanders, emergency personnel, sheriff and state agencies for their help last Monday when my husband fell into the lake while exiting his boat. Very grateful to the “big guy” who hauled him out. As future residents, good to know such kind people are nearby.

Onions to the store with one check-out clerk moving at a snail’s pace. To top it off, there’s a line at the door while one person checks each item on your receipt at an even slower pace. I have never been to a worse store in my life. Was I in a nursing home?

Onions to all the calls on some of the hits in football games over the weekend. No wonder I don’t watch it much. Pretty soon it will be touch football.

Onions to the dog owner who did not clean up after their pet and left a mess for the kids going to Jamaica Elementary to track into their school.
