PITTSBURGH (AP) _ Steelers linebacker Kendrell Bell expects to start Monday against the Colts despite a sprained ankle that has limited him to one quarter of action this season.

The Steelers upgraded the NFL’s reigning defensive rookie of the year to probable. He started the opener at New England but aggravated a left ankle sprain he picked up in preseason.

Bell was replaced at inside linebacker by rookie Larry Foote, who started four straight games, and as a pass-rushing defensive end on third downs by Clark Haggans. Haggans will continue to play right end on third downs even with Bell back.
