October 9, 2018

ST. JOHNSBURY, Vt. (AP) — Police in Vermont continue to investigate a fire at a vacant industrial building they believe was set intentionally.

The Caledonian-Record reports St. Johnsbury police are looking for witnesses to the Sept. 15 fire at the former B & W mechanical building. Authorities say the two-story building was damaged in the blaze.

The blaze started close to the kickoff time for the Colors of The Kingdom Autumn Festival at Depot Square. St. Johnsbury Police Sgt. Lester Cleary says there was plenty of traffic in the area at the time of the fire and that he would like to interview anyone who passed by the building.

Building owner William Brink didn’t return a message seeking comment.

Anyone with information is asked to contact St. Johnsbury police.
