Orchids and Onions: Wednesday, November 21, 2018

November 22, 2018

Another beautiful day in Havasu...

Orchids to the staff at Big 5 sporting goods for excellent customer service. Thank you to Michelle for your kindness and sympathy today concerning shoes for my dad. Your store is a wonderful place to shop!

Onions to the people who keep taking pictures of my big truck in parking lots and then posting them on social media. I know I’m not parked straight, but I spend a lot of money in this town when I’m here. You should appreciate that.

Onions to the guy who parked his big white truck on the corner of the tight parking lot with the credit union, big chain coffee shop and a worldwide delivery store. No one could come in off Lake Havasu Ave and no one could get out. So rude...

Orchids to “Tiny,” the name I gave you after you were run over by Walgreens and no one stopped. I hope I did right by covering you in a soft blanket and putting you in a place where god can take you into his arms. Ranger Terry

Orchids to the nice folks at the yard sale on Papago Lane suggesting I buy the book by Tami Hoag. It was a great read. Fast paced. I didn’t want to put it down!

Onions to the people who keep taking pictures of my big truck in parking lots and then posting them on social media. I know I’m not parked straight, but I spend a lot of money in this town when I’m here. You should appreciate that.

Onions to the local grocery stores inconveniencing folks by making them walk (or in my case limp) to the back for milk and eggs. What do most people go to the store for? Milk and eggs! Put dairy products up front like in Wisconsin!

Onions to the idiot sleeping in the red car in the Walmart parking lot. Get a room!

Orchids to Women with Willpower for supporting Nautilus Elementary School and staff with your generosity, kindness, and continued support for education.

Orchids to Mike at Downtown District’s Havasu Hardware for being perfectly helpful. Sincerely, Wall-Hanging Gal

Onions to drivers in 4-way stops that do not understand the person to the right has the right of way! Please take your IQ Finger and look through the AZ Motor Vehicle Book. If you’re at the 16-way stop at Mesquite and Rivera at 5pm; pray!

Onions to “The Chief” and his onion comparing Indians (sic) to burros. Stay out of the bar and do some reading on Native Americans. You just might learn something.

Onions to bicycle rider on Maricopa causing autos to go into other lane to safely pass when there was a bike lane 20 feet away.

Orchids to Smallcakes for the Good Dinosaur cake, it was beautiful, better than expected for sure. They added trees and extras to the sides. Moist too.

Onions to the RV repair shop that takes in RVs that they know they can’t get to because they bring in other vehicles.
