Butte Falls overpowers Glendale in second half, wins 67-28

BUTTE FALLS — The winless 1A Glendale Pirates kept up with the undefeated 2A Butte Falls Loggers for the first half of Saturday’s nonconference boys basketball game, but ultimately fell 67-28.

Butte Falls (5-0) had a 20-13 lead over Glendale (0-5) at halftime.

The Pirates were led in scoring by Traylynn Arana and Brody Lee with eight points apiece. Kaleb Cline had seven rebounds for Glendale and Arana had five.

Butte Falls’ Colby Wood had a game-high 30 points, while Devon Malcolm had 14 points. Butte Falls had 20 total fouls, including three technicals, compared to five total fouls for Glendale.

Glendale hosts Oakridge on Friday.
