Experience Downton Abbey in Boston in June

FITCHBURG — The Senior Center is offering a bus trip to experience the history, fashion and house of Downton Abbey at an exhibition that will open in Boston on June 15.

The $98 tickets include the cost of admission for the Tuesday, June 18 exhibition, the bus trip and dinner, with a choice of haddock, chicken or steak-tip dinner, at the Venezia waterfront restaurant that is located on Boston Harbor.

To take advantage of this experience, a check must be in the Senior Center office no later than June 1. Make checks payable to The Fitchburg Lions Club.

Marketplace will be held at Monument Square Saturday

LEOMINSTER — Local nonprofit Growing Places announced that the Leominster Marketplace will be moving outdoors to Monument Square for the first time this year starting this Saturday, May 25.

For 2019, the market will be on the Square on the last Saturday of every month from May-October and features locally grown produce, crafters, jewelers, artisans and more.

At the May Market there will be select spring-ready crops including lettuce, spring garlic, sweet potatoes, along with seedlings and potted herbs grown by local youth.

New this year, the market will offer hands-on craft activities and live music sponsored by the Leominster Multicultural Council.

At the May market, live music will be provided by local jazz trombonist Dan Gable and the activity will be to make re-usable t-shirt bags.

Please bring your own t-shirt to participate in the crafting activity. Admittance to the market is free and vendors accept payment methods including cash, debit, credit, SNAP/EBT, WIC and Senior Coupons as appropriate.

The market also includes Healthy Incentives Program (HIP) vendors.
