Maples: I Didn’t Read Prenuptial
NEW YORK (AP) _ Marla Maples said she didn’t read her prenuptial agreement with Donald Trump before signing it just two days before they married in 1993.
``I refused to read it because I felt it was sealing our fate,″ Maples said in Monday’s Daily News. Had she read it, ``I’m sure I would not have signed it. I probably would not have gotten married, either.″
Maples said she only read the document after she split from Trump in May.
``I couldn’t believe that anyone would put that kind of financial limitation on what love is,″ she said.
Maples, 33, didn’t reveal details of the agreement but said reports that she’ll receive $2.5 million are inaccurate.
Tiffany, her daughter with Trump, was 2 months old when they married. She’s now 4 and ``I’m praying that he’s fair where she’s concerned,″ Maples said.
The amount Trump is offering in child support for Tiffany, Maples said, is nowhere near the annual $100,000 a year he provided for each of his three kids with his first wife, Ivana.
