Olympiakos beats Xanthi 2-0 in Greek league
ATHENS, Greece (AP) — Alejandro Domingues and Ibrahim Affelay scored in the second half to lead Greek league leader Olympiakos to a 2-0 victory over Panathinaikos on Sunday.
Olympiakos is three points clear of second-place Panathinaikos and has a game in hand. However, Panathinaikos is currently appealing a deduction of three points for crowd violence during its home game against Olympiakos.
The league played for a second weekend in a row in empty stadiums, as the Greek authorities mull measures to stem crowd violence.
Also, Kalloni beat Veria 4-1, Kerkyra beat OFI by the same score, while missing two first-half penalties, while Giannena vs. Panetolikos and Panionios vs. Platanias ended 0-0.
