Police chase in Colfax County leads to multiple arrests
SCHUYLER - A report of a stolen vehicle led to a police chase Thursday morning in Colfax County.
According to the County Attorney, the Communication Department received a 911 call with the reporting party saying they were located west of North Bend and following a car they knew to be stolen.
Sheriff’s Deputies attempted to stop the vehicle at Highway 30 and County Road 12, but when Deputies initiated the traffic stop the suspect vehicle turned south and entered Schuyler.
Deputies from Colfax County and Schuyler Police confirmed the vehicle as stolen out of Butler County as they continued to pursue it through Schuyler.
It eventually stopped and officers secured the vehicle and two passengers inside while the driver fled on foot.
After a pursuit that lasted approximately 35 minutes officers took the driver into custody.
The matter remains under investigation and all suspects are believed to be in custody.
