Funeral services set for Greensboro police officer
GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) — Funeral services are scheduled for a North Carolina police officer who died in a crash during a robbery investigation.
News outlets report services will be held Saturday for Greensboro police officer Jared Williams Franks.
Police said last week that Franks and another officer were attempting to locate a vehicle driven by the possible robbery suspect when the police vehicles crashed.
The officers were taken to a hospital, where Franks died of injuries. Franks, 24, joined the department in 2016.
