Wishing Star hosts 13th annual Taste Spokane

The Wishing Star Foundation’s largest fundraiser is coming up in February.

Taste Spokane features local restaurants, breweries, wineries, and distilleries to raise money to grant wishes to children in the community who are battling illnesses.

Tickets are on sale now.

This year is particularly special because Wishing Star is celebrating its 35th anniversary.

The event takes place from 7 to 10 p.m. Feb. 15 in the Pend Oreille Pavillion Room at Northern Quest Resort & Casino in Airway Heights. VIP guests get to arrive at 6:30 p.m.

VIP tickets are $100 each and include guaranteed seating, unlimited tastings and a commemorative wine glass.

General admission tickets are $60 each and include a wine glass and unlimited tastings.

At the door, general admission tickets will be $65.

Some of the vendors lined up include the new Riverbank Taphouse at Northwern Quest, Taste of India, Two Cooks with Love, Dry Fly Distilling, Va Piano Vineyards, Maryhill Winery and V du V Wines.

The 13th annual Taste Spokane event, presented by STCU, also features live music, a live auction, a paddle raise and more. Proceeds benefit Wishing Star, which has granted more than 1,200 wishes so far.
