Koppers: 2Q Earnings Snapshot
PITTSBURGH (AP) _ Koppers Holdings Inc. (KOP) on Thursday reported second-quarter profit of $14.7 million.
On a per-share basis, the Pittsburgh-based company said it had profit of 70 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to $1.16 per share.
The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 99 cents per share.
The maker of chemicals, carbon compounds and wood treatment products posted revenue of $469.8 million in the period, missing Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $491.4 million.
Koppers expects full-year earnings in the range of $3.27 to $3.61 per share.
Koppers shares have increased 40% since the beginning of the year. The stock has decreased 36% in the last 12 months.
