DENVER (AP) _ Peja Stojakovic scored 24 points and reserve Hedo Turkoglu added 19 to lead the Sacramento Kings to a 106-94 victory over the Denver Nuggets on Saturday night.
Stojakovic shot 11-for-23 from the field and finished with five rebounds and four assists.
Vlade Divac shot 7-for-17 from the line and finished with 12 points. Turkoglu more than made up for Divac, shooting 6-for-9.
Nick Van Exel, coming off a 44-point game against the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday, had 32 points and eight rebounds. Van Exel shot 11-for-25, while the rest of the Nuggets shot 22-for-64.
Denver coach Dan Issel was ejected with 2:12 left in the third quarter after getting two quick technicals from referee George Toliver.
The Nuggets made a brief run early in the final quarter when Ryan Bowen’s basket and a free throw by Avery Johnson cut their deficit to 89-75. Turkoglu countered with back-to-back jumpers.
Former Nugget Bobby Jackson, who had seven of his 14 points in the fourth quarter, hit a 3-pointer with 3:34 left to give the Kings a 102-83 lead.
