Marshall’s 2019 Sweetheart Clinic to be held on Jan. 27

January 9, 2019

HUNTINGTON — Marshall Athletics’ 22nd annual Sweetheart Clinic, a free event for girls ages 4-12, will be held on Sunday, Jan. 27.

Participants will be divided into age groups and will rotate through nine different stations inside the Chris Cline Athletic Complex Indoor Athletic Facility, learning developmental sports skills from each of the Marshall’s women’s sports coaches and select student-athletes.

There is limited space available, so participants must pre-register individually on a first-come, first-served basis. No walk-up participants will be accepted.

Check-in for pre-registered participants will begin at 1 p.m. and last for 20 minutes inside the indoor athletic facility. The clinic will begin promptly at 1:20 p.m. Following the clinic, participants will enjoy a Marshall University cheerleaders-led pep rally and a brief pizza party upon exiting the facility. The clinic will conclude at 4:30 p.m., and participants may be picked up at the complex at that time. The clinic, including pizza party and pep rally, is free to participants.

Pre-registration for the Sweetheart Clinic, which began Tuesday, will be accepted online only. To pre-register, visit www.HerdZone.com and click the 2019 Sweetheart Clinic link under the main Fan Zone tab. Registration will remain open until Jan. 16, or until the clinic is full. Registrants must provide their name, age, emergency contact number, email address and T-shirt size. Group registration is not permitted.
