Family: “My girlfriend Kelsey and my son, Mateo. Also, my Dad Alberto Gonzalez and my mother Maggie Gonzalez.”

Education: Mount Vernon High School, barber school at Paroba College in Everett

Hobbies: Playing softball and other adult rec league sports.

Best part about living in Skagit County?: “I like how Skagit County is not too big, not too small. I think it’s a great place to raise a family. Crime rates aren’t as high as other cities. I like how everyone knows about somebody.”

Something everybody knows about you: “Everyone knows I cut hair. I started when I was sixteen in a tiny shop in my parent’s garage.”

How do you take your coffee?: “I don’t drink coffee. Every time I drink coffee, I feel like I’m going crazy.”

What was your first job?: Selling Cutco knives.

Favorite TV show: “First 48”

Favorite movie: “The Hangover”

Favorite book: “Rich Dad, Poor Dad”

Favorite recent memory: “My son being born. Watching your son being born is crazy, you can’t really describe it. I felt sad, happy.”

Who is your role model? “My Dad. Just seeing him work his butt off working two jobs, providing for his family. That’s not an easy job.”

What motivates you to get out of bed in the morning? “Just being able to provide for my family.”

The world would be a better place if: “People just learned to love and enjoy life.”
