MASON, Ohio (AP) _ AtriCure Inc. (ATRC) on Wednesday reported a loss of $338,000 in its second quarter.
On a per-share basis, the Mason, Ohio-based company said it had a loss of 1 cent. Losses, adjusted for non-recurring gains, came to 19 cents per share.
The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 22 cents per share.
The medical device maker posted revenue of $51.8 million in the period, which also beat Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $49.9 million.
AtriCure expects full-year revenue in the range of $193 million to $197 million.
AtriCure shares have increased 61 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $29.30, a rise of 27 percent in the last 12 months.
