Money for badges

July 12, 2018

Somerset County Sheriff Brad Cramer, left, accepts a $780 donation from Michael Kuhn, president of the Somerset County Bar Association, to purchase hundreds of plastic “Junior Sheriff” badges to be handed out to children visiting the courthouse or other county buildings. The office also received donations from the Stoystown American Legion, Meyersdale Masonic Lodge and Jenner Rod and Gun Club, enabling it to purchase a total of about 1,500 badges. “They are really popular with the kids when they come into the courthouse,” Cramer said. The bar association hosts courthouse tours for schoolchildren. Submitted photo
