Search suspended for missing Reno woman near Mount Rose

September 25, 2018

RENO, Nev. (AP) — Authorities have suspended the search for a 19-year-old Reno woman who last was seen in the mountains southeast of Reno last week.

Washoe County Sheriff’s spokesman Bob Harmon says they’re continuing to investigate the disappearance of Madelyn Lingenfelter.

But he says a four-day search failed to develop any clues after her car was found in a parking lot Friday near the Sky Tavern ski area on Mount Rose.

Lingenfelter last was seen on Wednesday near the Tannebaum Event Center along the Mount Rose Highway. That’s where her gold 2004 Toyota Prius was found.

Anyone with information should call the sheriff at 775-785-9276.
