Tucson woman accused of fatally shooting husband
TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) — Tucson police have arrested a woman accused of shooting her estranged husband to death in their home.
Authorities identified the man killed in the Sunday morning shooting as 48-year-old Michael Freitag.
Sgt. Pete Dugan says 46-year-old Leticia Freitag called 911 just after 8 a.m. to report that she had just shot her husband.
Responding officers found a wounded Michael Freitag. He was immediately transported to a hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
The victim was returning home after recently staying elsewhere.
Police say two teenagers were in the home at the time of the shooting but they were not injured.
Investigators arrested Leticia Freitag on suspicion of second-degree murder.
It was not immediately known Monday if she had an attorney.
