Marshall students get crafty with Do It Yourself Series

HUNTINGTON — The Marshall University Campus Activities Board kicked off its 2018-19 Do It Yourself Series on Thursday evening in the Don Morris Room at the Memorial Student Center with a workshop that taught students how to make their own tapestries.

The session was free and open to current students, as will be all upcoming sessions. The next session will take place 6:30 p.m. Oct. 3 with a DIY neon sign demonstration.

The rest of the series will take place on the following dates: calligraphy, Nov. 8; essential oils, Dec. 5; dirty pour, Jan. 29; clay piece, Feb. 21; macrame plant hanger, March 12; and bath bombs, May 1. All sessions will take place at 6:30 p.m. in the Don Morris Room, except for the Feb. 21 date, which will take place in the art warehouse.
