NLight: 2Q Earnings Snapshot
VANCOUVER, Wash. (AP) _ NLight Inc. (LASR) on Monday reported a second-quarter loss of $155,000, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.
On a per-share basis, the Vancouver, Washington-based company said it had a loss of less than 1 cent. Earnings, adjusted for stock option expense, came to 5 cents per share.
The results fell short of Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 6 cents per share.
The laser maker posted revenue of $48 million in the period, which also did not meet Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $48.4 million.
For the current quarter ending in October, nLight said it expects revenue in the range of $42 million to $46 million.
NLight shares have decreased 19% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Monday, shares hit $14.43, a decrease of 53% in the last 12 months.
