Police: Centreville special-needs site burglarized
CENTREVILLE, Ill. (AP) — Police in southwestern Illinois’ Centreville are searching for a burglar who broke into a special-needs school but managed to slip away from officers who were responding to the alarm.
The Belleville News-Democrat (http://bit.ly/19q0g2E ) reports that the burglar stole money from the JTC Academy and ripped wiring away from the walls during the break-in late Friday or early Saturday.
The building is a nonprofit therapeutic day school for students with behavioral or emotional disorders.
Centreville police ask anyone with information to call them.
