Idaho State lost 9-1 in five innings to conclude its three-game series at Northern Colorado on Saturday. The Bengals were also swept in Friday’s doubleheader, losing 4-3 and 4-2.

Northern Colorado (9-28, 4-4 Big Sky Conference) plated four runs in the first inning, and ISU never recovered. The Bengals cut their deficit to 4-1 after the top of the third, but Northern Colorado added four runs in the bottom of the frame to seal the win.

Idaho State finished the game with five hits, led by a team-high two from Haley Harrison.

“We didn’t show up and compete as we are used to,” ISU coach Candi Letts said. “We just have to get back on the horse and take care of business.”

Idaho State (14-19, 4-3 Big Sky) hosts Boise State on Tuesday at Miller Ranch Stadium.
